Outdoor Entertaining Project

Molly and Rick enjoy the outdoors and wanted to establish a place in their Pennsylvania landscape where they could entertain, have dinner, read, or just relax.

They wanted to leave the yard for their grandchildren, so the only spot for a garden landscape was a problematic hillside that had severe water issues. After a complete site analysis, the Cider Mill Landscapes team came up with “the works” – a complete landscape design.

After we constructed a drainage solution to take care of the water issues, we installed a flight of custom stonework steps to transition from the driveway to a hardscaped outdoor living area.

The 500 SF irregular flagstone patio features a custom stonework fire pit and a place where a table and chairs could be set up for outdoor dining.

We also constructed a water feature from a millstone to provide the soothing sound of flowing water. Our horticulturists came up with a garden landscape design to match the ambiance of the hardscaped outdoor living area, and the LED low voltage outdoor lights provide a nice evening atmosphere.
